On the 6th September the Provincial Grand Master, R.W.Bro. Michael James Leslie Whelan, JP, was present at the Branksome Lodge No. 1477 and had the pleasure to send greetings and congratulations from the Most Worshipful Grand Master, His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent, GCVQ, to V.W.Bro. Geoffrey Ian Prax, P.G.J.O., and present him with a 50 year Celebration Certificate.

V.W.Bro. Geoff Prax 50 Year Celebration V.W.Bro. Geoff, a well respected Mason known throughout the Province, was advanced into Amity Lodge No. 132 on the 10th September 1970 and was soon Elevated into Amity Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners on 26th January 1971, taking the Chairs of both Lodges in 1983 and 1989 respectively.

Joining Dorset Installed Mark Masters a little later in 1985 V.W.Bro. Geoff went on to become their Worshipful Master in 2008 and was also instrumental in the foundation, as a Founder Member, of the Dorset Installed Commanders Lodge No. 1572 in 1991, before becoming the Worshipful Commander of that Lodge in 2006.

In the Province of Dorset V.W.Bro. Geoff was Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies before being appointed Deputy Provincial Grand Master in 2003 and serving in that office for five years.

R.W.Bro. Mike informed those present of Geoff’s personal life, working career, and his other Masonic activities and thanked him for his long and dedicated service to Mark Masonry in Dorset.

It certainly was a meeting to remember for all who attended with V.Bro. Geoff acting as the Candidate for Advancement on the night.
